IFS plans an AI marketplace for partners

IFS wants partners to sell AI, not just implement it.

At IFS Unleashed in Orlando, IFS outlined plans for an AI marketplace inside IFS Intelligence, Channel Dive reports. Partners would build and sell three kinds of add-ons there: skills (repeatable tasks), lenses (live views of operational data) and automations (defined workflows), tuned to sectors like manufacturing, energy and utilities.

What we know so far:

  • Partners get free access to IFS Intelligence through December, with onboarding due to start in November.
  • No launch date yet, and no word on pricing or revenue share. More detail is expected by early 2027.
  • James Greaves of IFS said AI has cut time and effort by 84% on average across about 15 implementation activities, but said whole projects don't shrink by the same amount.

Why it matters: if repeat configuration work shrinks, partner value shifts toward reusable IP and ongoing optimisation. For customers, it could mean buying industry add-ons instead of bespoke builds.

Partners and customers: would you build or buy on a marketplace like this, and what would make it worth it?
